This essay introduces the basic principle and method o f VI design in CIS. On the basis of the principle, we analyze the fundamenta1 an d environmental factors of VI in higher learning institutes and propose some met hods for VI design of higher learning institutes so as to give many instructiona l advices for the image-building work in higher learning institutes.
