摘要
土家族作家田瑛的小说营构了一个虚拟的湘西 ,亦即第三种湘西。它远离了沈从文抒情的湘西 ,孙健忠写实的湘西 ,逼近了一个文化精神意义的湘西。田瑛的小说 ,在南方少数民族文学创作中独树一帜 ,坚守着一种执着的文化审美 ,一种原始生命冲动的文学倾诉。他的小说创作实践 ,使以沈从文为代表的湘西现代文学传统 ,划出了精神上一以贯之 ,却又各自鲜活的三个方块 ,亦即第一、第二和第三种湘西。田瑛是一位生活于现代都市 ,精神却自我放逐到自己的湘西的作家。他文学发问的方式 ,就是他小说的方式。
Tian Ying, a Tujia writer, made up non-existing Western Human in his novels, a third approach to narrate Western Hunan, firstly different from Shen Congwen's deep attachment, and secondly different from Sun Jianzhong's realistic narration. So Tian's novels has set up a different pattern of writing by sticking to cultural perspective of esthetics and by a sort of primitive instinct of literature narration. His writing practice is quite different from the long established pattern of writing about Western Hunan. Tian is a freelance writer, living in the modern city as carefree spirit. His literature thinking is his style in writing.
