On Tangying's Poetry

唐英是清代景德镇御窑厂督陶官 ,也是雍乾之际的杰出文学家。其诗内容丰富 ,风格清新朴实。其心真而正 ,其语清而雅 ,写物画景 ,记事抒怀 ,诸多内容均以抒发性情见长。其诗有如人生传记。虽未经历科举 ,却因耳濡目染与善学上进至此 ,可见其求学之勤 ,心志之坚 ;也可见中原传统文化影响之深 ,感召之力。

Tangying was a supervisal offcial of a pottery factory in Jingdezhen operated by government,and a famous writer in the middle Qing Dynasty.His poetry was of rich contents,and had a pure and fresh style.Its mind was true and honest lts words were fresh and elegant his poetry depicted the landscape and more often expressed his own feeling by keeping a record of events and was adept at it.Tangying was very studious and diligent though he didn't take part in the imperial examination,from which we can see he was influenced and inspired by the traditional culture in the Central Plains.
