《金刚经》与唐朝民众崇经活动及其观念

THE DIAMOND SUTRA AND SCRIPTURES-WORSHIP OF SECULAR PEOPLE IN THE TANG DYNASTY

崇经活动是唐时民众世俗佛教生活的中心内容,是当时民风民俗的重要组成部分,而《金刚经》在其中的突出地位值得关注。本文对唐朝民众崇敬《金刚经》活动的主体、形式、轨仪、目的与经书的关系、时代背景等方面作了初步分析,指出是禅宗的兴起促成《金刚经》在民众中的流行,并影响推动其他佛经的民众崇持活动,最终使崇经这种古老的佛教信仰形式成为唐时民众世俗佛教生活最引人注目的部分之一。因此,禅宗不是阻碍佛教世俗化的力量。

Scripture-worship was the central content of people's secular Buddhist lives and one of the important parts of customs in the Tang Dynasty.To these phenomena,we should pay more attention to the outstanding status of The Diamond Sutra. This paper analyses the forms, the rites, the purposes, the backgrounds of the people' s activities of worshiping The Diamond Sutra in the Tang Dynasty and the relations between the activities and the scripture. Moreover,the paper thinks that the rise of the Dhyna Sect promoted the spread of The Diamond Sutra in secular people, effected others scriptures-worship activities, and in the last made scriptures-worchip, which was one of the oldest forms of Buddhism-worship, the most prominent part of people' s secular Buddhist lives in the Tang Dynasty . For this reason, Dhyna Sect wasn' t the factor which had prevented Buddhism form secularizing.
