Zhuang Zi's "Non-beauty" Theory

庄子以自然为美,反对人对自然的破坏。他认为人在对象面前玩弄小技巧,为了某种目的有意地雕琢,无真情弄虚作伪,不考虑对象本性而按照主观意志对对象加以雕琢都是对美的破坏,是不美的行为,进而提出了美的创造规范。

Zhuang Zi thought nature was beautiful, so he was against human destruction of nature. People often play small tricks before others. In order to achieve certain aims they play on words to flatter others without any consideration of the fact. He thought that was the destruction of beauty and nonbeautiful behavior. He put forward the creating mode of beauty.
