“后现代主义”思潮是伴随着后现代工业社会时代产生的文化理论和艺术思想,孕育于现代主义艺术理论胚胎之中,却又是它的反叛者和解构者。因而,作为后现代主义美术,也有其自身独特的美学思想和审美视角。从客观的角度来讲,就是它的思想上的反传统性和艺术形式上的多样性,以及它所阐述的美学思维理念及其“精神分裂式”的表现手法。

Postmodernism' ideological trend, the cultural theory and art thought emerging along with the era of post-industrialized society, grows out of and meanwhile betrays and deconstructs the modernism art theory. Therefore, the postmodernism art has its own unique aesthetic thought and aesthetic perspective, which are, objectively speaking, represented by its anti-tradition ideology, diversity in artistic patterns , its aesthetic thinking concepts and its 'schizophrenic' mode of expression.
