Innovation is performed by people who are consciously and purposefully seeking opportunities. A detail analysis of the origins of opportunities is a good beginning of purposeful and planned innovation. The author analyzes four aspects of the origins of opportunities: unexpected chances, the need for medical service, social problems confronting hospitals and the emergence and application of new knowledge.
