this paper summarizes the general situation of frequency synthesizer technology, and analyzes characteristics of different techniques. A low spur fast hopping frequency synthesizer is presented, designed and implemented. The new frequency synthesizer decreases integer boundary spurs, and has characteristics of low spurs, low phase noise and small size.
