Helping Students to Comprehend Practical Value of Geography

地理是一门应用性很强、社会主义建设迫切需要的科学 ,而由于多种原因使中学生不能深刻了解地理的实用价值。应当在教学过程中 ,从学科知识与生活案例的结合 ,开发本地教学资源 ,交流现代人文科学信息 ,关注人才市场与就业热点等方面引导学生认识地理学科的价值。

Geography is a very practical science that is badly needed in the building of socialism. But because of various reasons, many high school students can’t deeply understand the practical value of geography. Therefore,in the course of teaching,teachers should help students to know the practical value of geography from many aspects,such as combination of book knowledge and life cases, exploiting native teaching resources, exchanging the information of modern humanities and paying close attention to the talent market and employment.
