Hemingway, as one of the well-noted American writers, writes his ample experiences meticulously and succinctly. He is marked with the tag "Lost Generation". A Farewell to Arms, For Whom the Bell Tolls, push him to the paramount position. However, his genius is better presented in his short novels. Hills Like White Elephants, which consists of only 5 pages, records at Spain station what Hemingway saw when he waited for train during his second honeymoon. It is in this short novel that he raised one noteworthy question: living space leads to people 's infinite terror. This thesis will analyze Hemingway's Hills Like White Elephants in the perspective of spacial poetics to reveal Hemingway's exploration and reflection on the infinite space people are living in.
