Willa Cather, American female writer, has long been recognized as the Muse from the West. Her works are eulogized for the pioneers and pioneering era in American history. However, as a politics-involved writer, facing the trend of historical and social milieu, Cather couldn't transcend the social mainstream. Her work is full of racism and colonial discourse.
