Some Reflections on College English Translation Teaching

目的 探讨英语翻译教学的改革思路。方法 本文阐述了新形势下大学英语翻译教学的重要性 ,分析研究了翻译教学的现状与不足。结果结论 对翻译教学在课程设置、教材内容、教师素质三方面提出若干建议。

Objective In order to improve the effects of college English teaching and to find out a new method of college education under the condition of socialist market economy.Methods The author of the essay elaborates the importance of college English translation teaching in the prevailing circumstance and analyzes the present situation as well as the drawbacks of translation teaching.Results and Conclusions The author puts forward a number of suggestions concerning the system of teaching,the contents of text and the qualities of teachers.Foreign language education workers should look closely at and introspect the present situation of China's college English translation teaching, to find a way how to deal with the situation of translation teaching reform.
