Accurately grasping the international law connotation in the idea of a community of shared future for mankind and actively exploring the integration of the idea of a community of shared future for mankind in specific areas of global governance are not only an inherent requirement for advancing major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era, but also a common mission of Chinese international lawyers. From the historical context of international relations and the perspective of global governance, a community of shared future for mankind is the inheritance and development of China’s diplomatic policy in the new era. In contemporary international law, construction of a community of shared future for mankind calls for further advocacy and practice of a series of important principles such as peaceful coexistence, universal security, shared prosperity, inclusiveness and tolerance,and sustainable development. The path to promote the construction of a community of shared future for mankind lies in raising the awareness of international law rules in diplomacy, cultivating talents, condensing discourse, stimulating international law theory and practice, promoting innovation, and effectively solving global and regional hot issues. The international society should form a constant and full cooperation and take active efforts to create a world that can carry the beautiful dreams of the people of all countries in the world.
