新见唐《唐逊墓志》考释

The Examination and Interpretation of the New-discovered Epitaph of Tang Xun of the Tang Dynasty

志文文辞优美,对仗工整,用典丰富,详述志主唐逊家世及其生平,涉及唐太宗对高句丽的战争等事件,为满足水路作战对战船之需要,志主被任命为扬州道造船大使,具有重要史料价值和文学价值。本文考证了志主世系,志史对照、史史相校,指出、纠正了《新唐书·表》中的几个错误记载。

The text of the epitaph of Tang Xun is written in graceful style with rich contents and connotations; it clearly recorded the genealogy and life and career of the tomb occupant,which was related to Emperor Taizong's war against Koguryo and other affairs,such as to meet the demand of the maritime expedition,the master of the epitaph was assigned as the warship-building supervisor of Yangzhou Circuit. This epitaph has significant historic and literary values. This paper examined the genealogy of the family of the master of the epitaph and compared the contents of the epitaph with the historic literature,by which some errors in the tables of the New Book of Tang were found and corrected.
