Different Approaches but Equally Satisfactory in Results of Loneliness and Solitariness ——Comparative Research on Pu Songling and Allan Poe

蒲松龄是中国清代的一位杰出小说家、诗人,是中国短篇小说创作最高成就的代表;爱伦·坡是十九世纪初美国的一位小说家、诗人,这两位作家所生活的时代不同,区域相异,但在小说创作上却出现了惊人的相似。论文从两位作家的经历,创作的领域以及以神秘恐怖为题材的小说创作方面的比较,告诉人们这样一个道理:文学创作确有一些相通的规律,会在不同地域、不同时代、不同作家的作品中得到相似的体现。

Pu Songling is an outstanding novelist and peot in Qing dynasty, and a representative of highest a-chievement of Chinese short story; Allan Poe is an American novelist and peot in the early nineteenth century. Though different times and different areas they lived in, there are a stroking similitude in their novelettes. This paper compared their experiences, creative fields, mysterious and terrified subjects pegged from ghosts and spirits. A truth has been told; there are some communicated rules in literatures indeed. They would embody in different areas, times, and works of different writers.
