National Culture Prospective on the Development and Growth of Community Colleges in the United States

美国高等职业教育的主体——社区学院,作为一种特殊教育形式得到迅速发展,除经济发展需求、政府财政支持、管理体制较合理及鲜明的办学特色外,其教育渊源、实用主义教育思想、注重创新和实效,以及全民参与学习的民族文化特征也为其发展提供了肥沃的土壤。本文主要从文化的视角,就文化渊源及民族特性对美国高等职业教育发展产生的影响加以透析。

The main body of the American higher vocational education—Community Colleges,as a special education form,has developed rapidly,The superior educational origins of the United States,the pragmatism educational thinking,the creative and results-orientated spirits and the ethnic cultural characteristics of all people involved in studying have also provided a fertile soil for the development,in addition to the needs of the economic development,the government financial support,the scientific management system and the distinctive school characteristics.This paper mainly analyses the impact of the cultural origins and ethnic characteristics of the United States on the development of higher vocational education from a cultural perspective.
