As a mass organization of the working class led by the Party,workers union is the bridge and tie between the Party and the masses,and it shoulders the responsibility to safeguard the legitimate interests.One of the main functions of workers union in colleges is to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of faculty.How to really fulfill this basic duty is a hot issue which workers in the college union are highly concerned about.This paper explores the content of defending rights and how to fulfill this basic duty for college workers union under the background of the outline.
