陈桂生马克思主义教育研究平议

On Chen Guisheng’s Marxist Educational Studies

在老一辈教育学人中,陈桂生教授在马克思主义教育研究方面成果颇丰,其研究别具一格,值得探讨。他主持马克思主义教育文献选编,长期执教马克思主义教育论著选读课,出版多部马克思主义教育研究力作。这些成果表明,陈桂生的马克思主义教育研究具有四个鲜明特征:(1)对教育理论问题的深切关注;(2)普遍渗透了自觉的历史意识;(3)在认识论方面具有强烈的批判精神;(4)旨在凸显教育主题。这些特点使其研究有别于流行的马克思主义教育研究。在此意义上,陈桂生提供了另一种风格的马克思主义教育研究。

Professor Chen Guisheng has achieved a significant contribution to Marxist educational studies in China.His research has proven to be productive and has formed a unique style.The paper based on the investigation of Prof.Chen’s representative works in Marxist educational studies indicates that his works in this field are characterized by four features.The first feature is that he has a deep theoretical concern in education;the second one is that he studies with a voluntary and pervasive awareness of history;the third one is that his works are replete with a critical spirit in epistemology;the last one is that he focuses on educational themes.Due to these features,Prof.Chen’s works differ from the current trend of Marxist studies in education.In this sense,Prof.Chen provides another approach to Marxist educational studies.
