Analysis of Transformation and Translation of Textual Cohesion from Prespective of Hypotaxis and Parataxis——Based on the Translation of Before Adam by Professor Liao Meizhen

英语重"形合",汉语重"意合"。由于形合意合的差异英汉两种语言在语篇衔接手段上也有所不同。在简单介绍语篇衔接手段之后,从形合意合的角度对比分析了Before Adam与廖美珍教授译本在语篇衔接的转换及翻译。

English language lays an emphasis on hypotaxis while Chinese language on parataxis.Owing to the differences between the two languages,ways of using cohesion tie differ.After a simple introduction of textual cohesion,this paper analyzes the transformation and translation of textual cohesion in Before Adam and Liao Meizhen’s Chinese-transltion version from the prespective of hypotaxis and parataxis.
