A Street-corner society includes subculture which differs from the mainstream society.It consists of a group of marginal individuals,especially teenagers,who live basically in streets and wander on the edge of the main society.In this micro-city area,they actively choose the lifestyle to spend time in streets with peer groups due to the factors like family backgrounds,culture and psychological inversion.Under such circumstances,this kind of tiny society develops a distinctive method to determine the status and manage the system,and has formed its unique culture as well.This essay will analyses and explains their life choices of such subculture group through various aspects like causes,phases of development,characteristics,current living conditions,culture,social structure and future.
