大学生党员保持先进性对于党和国家事业的发展具有深远的历史意义,他们应当紧密联系自身的实际,增强与时俱进、求真务实、责任服务的意识;努力加强理论学习、专业学习、思想修养,不断提高觉悟、增强本领和提升人生境界。同时,还应当创新思路出发,努力形成大学生党员保持先进性教育的长效机制。

A university student and CPC member to retain the advanced qualities of the Communist Party is of historic significance to the development of both the Communist Party of China and the nation. Thus, each should strengthen their awareness to keep up with the times, to do some practical work, and to serve the people with their responsibilities in mind based on their individual conditions. More importantly, each should strengthen theoretical study, the absorption of specialized knowledge; constantly upgrade their thoughts, improve their capacity, uplift their social values. Besides, a long-term mechanism for the education of the advanced qualities of the Communist Party in colleges should be developed gradually with innovative ideas as the basis.
