摘要
象似性指的是语言符号的能指与所指之间的自然联系,是当今认知语言学研究的热门之一。语言结构的象似性指的是语言结构与人们对现实世界的形成的经验或概念之间的相似。距离象似原则是语言结构象似性中最重要的原则之一,文章分析了距离象似性在句法结构中的体现,并试图将距离象似性和英美小说联系起来,肯定了距离象似性可以产生特定的文体效果及其文体价值。
Iconicity which refers to the natural relation between the signifier and the signified is one of the hotly-discussed topics in cognitive linguistics. Iconicity of linguistic structures means that linguistic structures naturally correspond to human experiential or conceptual structures. And distance iconicity is one of the most important principles of iconicity of linguistic structures. This paper analyzes the presentation of distance iconicity in the syntactic level of language. This article is an attempt to combine the theory of distance iconicity with Anglo-American fiction and we can make judgment that distance iconicity is a stylistic feature in literature which can help the author achieve the intended stylistic value and the reader appreciate literature.
