The construction of human character is the core of Confucianism all the time. The ideal human character is also an ethical one, which was demonstrated by Confucius and Mencius respectively from different point of view and came into being integrated with rich connotation and ethical code. Confucian thought on how to establish ideal human character has a great spiritual value with a profound impact on Chinese nation, which still remains meaningful and vigorous today.
