The process problems of heavy lathe machining in the phase of rough machining and finish machining are analyzed, such as the selection of tool materials,tool angles,cutting parameter,and the mount of tools and workpieces. The feasible schemes are given in practice,it is useful reference to the practice machining of heavy lathe.
