A Call Admission Control and Power Allocation Scheme in Multi-Medium Mobile Communication Systems

摘要 研究了直接扩频码分多址 (DS -CDMA)干扰受限系统的功率分配的可行性问题。针对3GPPWCDMA多媒体环境提出了一种简单而可靠的呼叫准入控制算法。计算机访真结果显示 ,各媒体用户数之间是相互制约的 ,媒体数据速率和QoS要求越高 ,可以接入系统的用户数目越少。因此 ,系统存在一个各媒体用户数的某种组合使系统的整体性能最优。同时验证了理论推导的正确性。该算法可以与现有的任何功率控制算法相结合 。 The feasibility criterion of power control in interference-limited direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems is investigated. A simple and reliable mechanism to perform call admission control in a multimedia environment such as 3GPP WCDMA is derived. Computer simulation result shows that it is existing a constrained relation among the users of every medium. The higher medium data rate and the QoS are, the less the users are allowed by the system. There is a combination of all medium users at which the overall performance of the system reaches its optimum point. The result verifies also the correctness of theoretic derivations. The proposed call admission control algorithm can be combined with any power control algorithm to improve the overall performance of the whole communication system.
