美在资本主义世界中,是较早形成自己的民主政治制度的国家。它的民主政治制度起源于英属北美殖民地时期,初步形成于邦联时期,发展于联邦制确立之后。这个制度突出了"社会契约"与"现代人权"原则,制约与平衡机制,"人的主权"与"有限政府"原则。美国的民主政治制度,是美国资产阶级革命的产物,在人类历史上有其特殊的地位和贡献,但它毕竟是以资产阶级民主理论体系为基础的,而且在实践中存着许多悖逆现象。

In the capitalist world,America is a country which set up its own democratic political system earlier. Its democratic political system dates from the period of the North American colony which belonged to England. It was set up during the union period and developed after the union system. It stresses on the principle of social contract and inborn human rights,the mechanism of restriction and balance and the principle of the people's sovereignty and limited government. The American democratic political system is the product of American capitalist revolutionary. It has its special position and contribution in history. But after all,it is based on the theoretical system of capitalist democracy. What's more, it has many rebellion phenomena in practice.
