谈谈顾炎武对金石文字的考释

Discussion on the GuYanwu's Literal Research on Bronze Objects and Stones

明末清初学者顾炎武十分重视金石文字的考释。顾氏的金石文字考,在勘正金石碑刻误字的同时,对石刻碑文中的俗字、武后制字、避讳字也能一一指明。此外,对于碑刻中的一些语词,顾氏也进行了考释。

Guyanwu,a famous scholar living between the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty,attached great importance to the literal research on bronze objects and stone's tablets. Gu 's literal reaserch on bronze objects and stones, not only revised the mistaken words on bronze objects and stone's tablets, but also indicated the common Chinese characters, the words made by Wuhou and taboo words on it. In addition, he paid attention to the texual research about words in the inscription on a table.
