区域经济差距过大会影响经济的持续、稳定发展。山东省西部地区与东部地区的经济差距已成为全省经济整体水平再上新台阶的严重障碍。实施山东省“西部大开发”战略能够有效解决区域经济差距问题。本文在分析了山东省实施“西部大开发”战略的理论依据的基础上 ,探讨了山东省实施“西部大开发”战略的理论与现实意义 ,并进一步提出了加快山东省西部经济发展的新思路。

Great gap in regional economy can influence the sustainable and steady development of economy. The economic gap between the western and eastern regions in Shandong province has become a serious barrier for its whole economy reaching a new stage. Carrying out the strategy of 'western development' can solve the problem efficiently. The article probes into the theory and practical significances of the strategy on the grounds of analyzing the strategy's theoretical basis, and puts forward new thoughts of hastening the province's western economy.
