叙事作品中人物名称的意向性探究——以《蛙》中的人名为例

Exploration of intentionality of names in narrative works: Take names in Frog as an example

本文旨在研究叙事作品中人物名称表征的意向性及意向性人名产生的心智过程。本文选取《蛙》中比较有代表性的十四个人名对二十八位没有读过该小说的不同年龄、专业、职业和性别的人进行访问,请他们对这些人物可能的性格特征或者命运进行预测。访问结果表明,这些人名大都具有意向性,读者对这些意向性的判断和识解是通过对相似性、相邻性常规关系的运用而获得的;同时,这些意向性人名表征的是文学可能世界中的虚拟存在,对语言的研究要依赖语言产生的心智过程。通过结合意向性结构和戈尔德的神经网络自然语言处理过程,本文将建立文学可能世界中意向性人名产生的心智过程。

This paper aims to discover the intentionality of names in narrative works and the mental procedure of their production. It made an interview to 28 adults of different ages,majors and professions on 14 names from Frog. The interviewees were asked to make predictions of these characters. The results show that the names have intentionality. It is through the similarity and contiguity stereotypical relation that a reader can get to know the intentionality. The study of language should be traced back to the mental process of the language. Thus by combining the intentional structure and the process procedure of nature language,this paper will establish a frame to represent the mental process of the production of intentional names in literature possible world.
