Remarks on Authority Supervision System in Tang Dynasty

唐代在权力监督方面注重立法建设,重视整体监督机制的建立,尤其重要的是建立了较为完备的监察体系。唐代形成的一整套内容全面、结构严谨的权力监督制度,促进了盛唐的政治清明和国势强盛。对今天的法制建设也有重要的借鉴意义。同时我们要认识到,作为封建社会专制制度的产物,它有其致命的弱点和局限性。

Legislation and overall supervisory mechanism on authority supervision were paid great attention in Tang Dynasty. More importantly, the general supervision system had been established. The complete and well-established authority supervision system benefited the transparent government and domestic prosperity in the flourishing Tang Dynasty. It can also be used as reference for today's legal system. At the same time, we must be fully aware that the authority supervision system in Tang Dynasty had disadvantages and limitations. 
