This paper mainly explores the application purpose,content and steps of advanced technology in the teaching practice of“Mechanical Design Foundation”and summarizes the results of this teaching reform.By introducing the mechanical design software solidworks and the teaching aids fischertechnik in the teaching,students can perform animation demonstration work in the computer,verify the basic characteristics,and use fischertechnik to assemble various common institutions and small machines,deepening the students’understanding of the mechanical basic theory has improved the ability and practical ability of students to apply computer software.
