With the rapid development of computer network and multimedia technology, the importance of Web-based courseware in modern distance teaching is becoming more and more prominent. The paper introduces the content, characteristics and design principles for web-based courseware, and analyzes basic teaches of the design and produce of web-based courseware as well as the aspects that merit attention in the process of making courseware.
