The Greenhouse Effect and the Kyoto Protocol

温室效应主要是由人类的生产和生活活动造成的。它导致全球气候变暖,危害巨大,其最终结果"可能仅次于一场全球性的核战争"。人类必须行动起来,1997年12月在日本京都召开的《联合国气候变化框架公约》第三次缔约方大会时通过了"京都议定书"和直到8年后于2005年2月 16日正式生效,就是人类阻止全球变暖的重大行动之一。

The greenhouse effect is mainly caused by human activities. It results in the global warming and will eventually bring about disastrous destroy no less than what a nuclear war does to the earth. As one of the important action man has ever taken to slow down the global warming, the Kyoto Protocol was adopted at the third session of the Conference of Parties to 《The United Nations Framework Convention to Climate Change》in December 1997 in Kyoto, Japan, and the Protocol was effective in sixteenth of February 2005.
