浅谈现代汉语“把”字句的英译——以鲁迅短篇小说集《呐喊》、《彷徨》和《故事新编》为例

On Translating the Chinese Sentences with the word ’ba’ ——Take Luxun’s Short Novels Collections(Nahan,Panghuang,Gushixinbian) for Example

"把"字句是现代汉语中比较特殊的句式之一,适用于表达复杂和细微的意思。本文主要研究该句型的英译规律,以鲁迅先生的三部短篇小说集(《呐喊》、《彷徨》、《故事新编》)为例探讨"把"字句的英译问题。经实例统计和语料分析,得出将相应的现代汉语"把"字句译成英语时,应按照其不同的意义、作用和结构,选择适当方法应对。

Sentences with ’ba’ are a quite special kind of sentence in Chinese which is used to express complex and subtle meaning.This paper tries to analyze the translation rules for this kind of sentence with the analysis of Luxun’s three short novels collections-Nahan,Panghuang,Gushixinbian.Based on the detailed examples and material analysis,I got the conclusion that relative translations for the Chinese sentences with ’ba’ should according to different meanings,functions and structures of the sentences.
