实用型语言服务人才的培养方法研究——以“跨境电商网页本地化”竞赛为例

A Research on Methods of Training Practical Talents for Language Services——Based on A Webpage Localization Competition for Cross-Border E-Commerce

该研究以"跨境电商网页本地化"竞赛的实施背景、题目设置、实施过程及结果评比为例,阐释北京大学计算机辅助翻译专业在培养集翻译技能、信息技术能力及综合技能为一体的实用型语言服务人才方面的做法。在此次本地化竞赛中,学生以商业目的达成为目标,对翻译标准和方法选择、电商规则依从、目标市场法规遵循等方面的问题进行了探索,其成果达到了预期。希望此案例解析能为目前的语言服务人才培养模式研究提供建议。

This paper introduces the background,webpage selection,process and result evaluation of a competition for'cross-border e-commerce webpage localization'and illustrates how Computer Aided Translation Program in Peking University develops Master candidates’practical language service skills covering translation,information technology,management,cooperation,etc.In the localization competition,students have responded well to the issues of the selection of translation standards for business purposes,the compliance with e-commerce rules,the observation of laws and regulations in target markets and so on.This paper is hoped to serve as a useful reference for the training of language services talents.
