A Critical Review on Gerald Bruns

杰拉尔德·布伦斯集哲学家、批评家与文学家于一身,是美国二十至二十一世纪最重要的思想家之一。本文以文学研究批评的热点和视角,从哲学与诠释学、哲学与文学、文学与诗歌三个层面对近四十年来杰拉尔德·布伦斯的研究进行了梳理和总结,试图说明其对二十世纪文学与哲学的研究所发挥的积极促进作用。杰拉尔德·布伦斯的研究范围非常广泛,从美国诗歌到二十世纪大陆哲学,从美学批评到道德哲学和诠释学,无一不在其兴趣范围之内。论文同时发现,国外的杰拉尔德研究系统深入,研究成果丰硕,相比之下,国内的杰拉尔德研究匮乏,还有待发展。

Gerald Bruns is a philosopher, critic and writer. He is one of the most important thinkers in the United States between the twentieth and twenty-first Century. According to the focus and perspective of literary criticism, this paper cards and summarizes some researches and reviews on Gerald Bruns in recent forty years from the following three aspects: the relation between philosophy and hermeneutics, the relation between philosophy and literature, the relation between literature and poetry. It discusses the positive effect of Bruns on the study of literature and philosophy in the twentieth Century. At the same time, the paper found that Gerald Bruns' s study is so broad that is covers American poetry, twentieth century continental philosophy, aesthetic criticism, moral philosophy and hermeneutics. The study on Bruns abroad is systematic and fruitful. However, domestic study is rare and is to be developed.
