摘要
词汇是语言能力的重要组成部分。近年来,基于大型通用和自建的学习者语料库的词汇研究越来越多。本研究基于自建语料库,采用随机分层抽样的方法,从词汇广度和深度两个维度,对某高校非英语专业大二学生的产出性词汇进行了研究。研究结果表明,词汇的广度和深度与词汇能力有关。教师在教学中应加强词汇教学,提高学生产出性词汇的运用能力。
Vocabulary is one of the crucial components of linguistic knowledge. The large scale general corpus-based and self-constructed corpus-based vocabulary research has increased in recent years. This paper adopts a corpus-based approach to investigate the productive vocabulary of college students from two dimensions, namely the breadth and depth of vocabulary use. 200 non-English major sophomores are selected, using the stratified random sampling method. The research findings indicate that the breadth and depth of vocabulary are interrelated with learners' lexical competence. It is suggested that teachers should consciously expand the breadth and depth of vocabulary in their classroom teaching to enhance learners' lexical competence.
