福建省梅花山散白蚁属二新种(等翅目:鼻白蚁科)

TWO NEW SPECIES OF TERMITES OF THE GENUS RETICULITERMES FROM MEIHUASHAN,FUJIAN,CHINA (ISOPTERA:RHINOTERMITIDAE)

梅花山林区位于福建省西部,白蚁种类丰富。现整理出散白蚁属二新种,描述于下。模式标本存广东省昆虫研究所。大型散白蚁Reticulitermes(Planifrontotermes) largus,新种兵蚁(图1,A—F):体大型。头部淡黄色,上颚棕褐色,颚基黄褐色,触角堤脊赤褐色,触角、前胸背板周缘赤黄色,胸、腹背板和足淡白色。头部有稀疏的直立刚毛,前胸背板周缘、中胸、后胸和腹部背板后缘有较多直立刚毛。

A large number of termites were collected in May, 1981 in Meihuashan in western Fujian, China. Among them two species of the genus Reticulitermes are new to science. Type specimens are kept in the Guangdong Institute of Entomo- logy. 1. Reticulitermes (Planifrontotermes) largus, sp. nov. (fig. 1) This new species is the largest in size in the subgenus Planifrontotermes of the genus Reticulitermes. The soldier of the present new species resembles very closely with that of R. (P.) hainanensis Tsai et Huang, but differs from the latter as follows : 1. Body larger (cf. table 2). 2. Dorsal surface of head concave an- teriorly in profile (fig. 1, B). 3. Labrum generally without paraterminal hairs. 4. Posterior margin of pronotum distinctly emarginate (fig. 1, D). Type locality: Meihuashan, Liancheng, Fujian, China. It is a serious pest that can do damage to roof beans of building. 1981. v. 25, collected by Li Gui-xiang et al. 2. Reticulitermes (Frontotermes) lianchengensis, sp. nov. (fig. 2) The soldier of the present new species resembles very closely with that of R. (F.) longicephalus Tsai et Chen, but larger, with mandibles different in shape.
