摘要
本文运用问卷调查和半结构访谈的方法,以国内某211高校来自不同专业背景、不同年级、不同性别的202名本科生为调查对象,从以下三个方面分析了学生对美剧这种输入材料的课程需求:学生英语基本技能需求,选课动机和对美剧的态度调查,学生的学习过程需求。研究结果表明:(1)学生认为不仅要提高听说能力,输入技能写作也需要加强。(2)选课动机中'工具性'和'融合性'动机存在显著差异,前者显著强于后者。(3)观看美剧是学生课外接触英语的主要方式,不同专业、不同性别、不同年级对美剧的评价没有显著差异,但课外对美剧的接触量存在显著差异。(4)对学习过程的需求,学生对网络肯定的同时,认同教师面授的重要性,同时也认同师生互动和生生互动的课堂形式。
By means of questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview,this research aims to analyze the needs of the American-TV-drama-based course from the three aspects:learners’needs of basic language skills,motivation,attitudes and studying process.The subjects were 202 undergraduate from some 211 University in China.The investigation shows:(1)speaking and listening skill needs improving and more notably,writing skill needs improving as well;(2)there is significant difference between"integrative orientation"and"instructive orientation"and the latter is stronger than the former by chi square;(3)there is no significant difference for the attitudes towards American TV drama for the subjects of different gender,grade and different academic background,but in contrast,there is significant difference for the frequency of watching American TV drama;(4)the subjects attach importance to the classroom teaching as well as online learning and what is more,classroom teacher-students and students-students interaction are their favorite teaching methods.
