An Overview of the International Business English Research

国际商务英语作为专门用途英语一个最大的分支,在词汇、句法、语篇、语用、语义等方面与通用英语有明显的差异。因此,商务英语语言研究及其方法有着自身的特殊性。本文首先概述了商务英语的研究现状,然后对商务英语语言研究涉及的方法、理论以及思路做了初步的探讨,以期引起对国际商务英语语言研究的重视,加深对商务英语语言特点的了解。

As the biggest branch of English for specific purposes,International Business English(IBE)has obvious differences with general English,which is mainly reflected in vocabulary,sentence pattern,discourse,pragmatics and semantics.Therefore,IBE research has its own uniqueness.This paper first summarizes the current situation at home and abroad,and then explores the theoretical perspectives and research methods of Business English,in the hope that learners and researchers can pay more attention to Business English research and deepen the understanding of Business English language features.
