摘要
本研究探讨了大学生英语词汇量状况、词汇学习策略的选取情况及其相互关系。中国海洋大学大一到大三的340名被试参加了本研究。结果表明:本科生英语词汇量略大,呈现出先增后减的趋势,不同性别和专业的学生的词汇量不同;词汇学习策略方面,学生较多使用认知和社会情感策略,元认知策略使用较少;词汇量大小与词汇学习策略均存在显著正相关。最后,本文对如何提高英语词汇教学提出了建议。
This study investigated the relationship between the vocabulary size and vocabulary learning strategies of the university students.The participants were 340 students from Ocean University of China.Results showed that the vocabulary size of university students was rather large,tending to increase first and then decrease,and it could be influenced by the gender and major.Students use cognitive and social/affective strategies more often,and seldom use metacognitive regulation.The vocabulary size is significantly and positively correlated with the vocabulary learning strategy.At last,this paper proposed some advice on the English vocabulary teaching.
