摘要
当代爱尔兰文学呈现一片欣欣向荣的繁荣局面,值得引起更多的评论关注。本文以经典改编热潮为切入点,以点及面探讨当代爱尔兰文学的基本特征、繁荣形势和经典改编潮背后的爱尔兰文化因素,认为北爱政治局面和缓之后文学题材的去政治化需求,以及全球化时代的跨国艺术表达与合作是其背后的两个主要动因。
With its ongoing richness,contemporary Irish literature deserves more critical attention.This article focuses on the trend of modern adaptations by Irish writers of classic texts,using it to showcase the basic features and prosperity of contemporary Irish literature,and exploring possible reasons for the existence of such a trend.Besides others,two forceful drives might be the need to depoliticize literary subjects after the alleviation of the political tensions in Northern Ireland and the cross-border artistic expression and cooperation in an age of globalization.
