Sam Selvon’s novel The Lonely Londoners and Zadie Smith’s novel White Teeth are half a century apart in terms of date of publication.Despite spatio-temporal distance, two novels have demonstrated their homogeneous thematic concern on colored immigrants’racial crisis in Britain. The paper argues that metaphorically referring to the basic ideas of Ten Commandments and the anxiety of losing teeth,Sam Selvon and Zadie Smith have demonstrated social economic and racial political reasons for British colored immigrants’survival and moral crisis in1940 s and 50 s and the crisis of their racial culture and history in 1980 s and 90 s.
