摘要
语言是交际工具,外语教学的目的是把外语用作交际工具。但是学界对通过什么途径来最有效地教外语、学外语的看法却并不一致。就中国的外语教学而言,所采用的传统教学法有语法翻译法、听说法等。20世纪70年代后期,交际语言教学法进入中国并被广泛地运用到了实际的外语教学中,然而在已过去的这20多年里,它并没有给中国外语教学带来预期的效果,传统的语法翻译和听说教学法仍然活跃在许多外语课堂中。本文将对影响交际语言教学法在中国的运用和发展的潜在因素进行分析和归纳,并提出相应的克服措施和方法,更好地引导交际语言教学法在未来中国外语教学中的有效运用。
Language is a means of communication.No doubt that FL teaching is to cultivate students’ communicative competence of using a FL.But as far as the effective ways of teaching and learning a FL is concerned,people have a range of controversial ideas.The traditional FL teaching methods in China are:grammar-translation method and audio-lingual method.By the end of 1970s,CLT have been introduced into China and been extensively applied to the actual FL teaching.However,the outcome of teaching FL exclusively using CLT does not provide the expected results and the traditional methods are still dominant in a great number of FL classrooms in China.Thus,this paper examines the main constraints in applying CLT in the Chinese FL context in order to consider how CLT in China might be developed in the future.
