隐喻能力与接受性水平的相关性实证研究

The Correlation between Metaphoric Competence and Receptive Competence

摘要 在综述了隐喻能力培养及其与英语各项分技能的相关性研究后,研究测试了英语专业大三学习者隐喻能力与接受性英语水平(包括听力、词汇和阅读理解)之间的关系,量性分析显示二者呈显著正相关关系,但隐喻能力与听力不相关,与阅读理解、词汇则显著相关。在此基础上分析了相关原因,并就隐喻能力培养及教学提出了相应的建议。 After a thorough review of related researches of metaphorical competence and correlations between metaphorical competence and disparate skills, this research targets at Juniors of English majors and tests the correlation between metaphorical competence and receptive competence (including listening, vocabulary and reading comprehension). Metaphorical competence is found to have a positive significant correlation with overall receptive competence, also specifically with vocabulary and reading comprehension, but no correlation with listening. This paper tries to explore the reasons behind the findings and puts forward some constructive suggestion for language teaching and metaphorical competence training.
