语言管理研究述评

On the Studies of Language Management Theory:A Survey

语言管理是指对语言的使用进行干预、规划从而改进或者影响语言应用的一种理论。回顾语言管理理论产生的背景、概念的界定,了解语言管理与语言规划的区别及其理论特征、研究过程与研究现状,有助于对语言管理理论的研究前景进行展望。文章认为,语言管理理论的提出可以对不同层面的语言进行更为有效的规范,解决语言使用中的问题与争端,对于维护语言的生态多样性与活力具有重要的理论价值与现实意义。

Language management is a theory which refers to the use of intervention or planning to improve or affect the use of language.This paper makes a survey on its emerging background,definition,the difference between language management and language planning,its features,the research process,and its present development as well.It discusses its application in different fields with examples provided,and finally makes a prediction for its future perspective.We argue that language management theory can be of help for the normalization of language at various levels and in reality it can help solve the problems of language in use.It is also of both theoretical and practical value for the maintenance of language ecological diversity and vitality.
