摘要
大学英语写作教材(非英语专业)是英语写作课堂教学的重要组成部分,但目前一些写作教材却存在诸多不足:教材以应试为目的,缺少足量的练笔机会,忽略对修辞意识的培养等。要想编写出优质的写作教材,一要从宏观的角度制定出编写原则,包括保证教材的完整性,所选的例句范文要具有思想性,以及正确处理好语言与文化之间的关系等;二要在具体的编写过程中体现出教材的特色,如:简化操作指令,设计形式多样的写作实践活动,为学生提供互评之用的检查表等。而评价教材编写得是否成功,学生最有发言权。
College English writing course-books(for non-English majors) are a vital component in a TEFL classroom; however, many writing course-books available still leave much room for improvement. Some are examoriented, some offer limited opportunities for writing practice, and some lack rhetorical awareness. So, in order to create a high-quality writing course-book, compilers should first make compiling principles. For instance, the entire course-book should follow an easy-to-difficult sequence, cover as many genres as possible, select materials with educational functions, and strike a proper relationship between language and culture. Second, to compile a writing course-book with characteristics, compilers should simplify directions, design a variety of writing tasks, and provide checklists. Finally, to evaluate a writing course-book, students’ opinions should be collected after use.
