Creating the Future for ELT in Asia: Opportunities and Directions——A Review of “the 13th Asia TEFL International Conference”

亚洲英语教师协会(Asia TEFL)于2015年11月在中国南京举办了第十三届'Asia TEFL国际会议'。大会邀请了数位世界著名的英语教育学家作主题报告,报告围绕外语评估的发展、科技与外语教学、语用教学等主题展开。分会场各代表发言的热点话题,主要集中于写作教学与研究、计算机辅助语言学习、教师研究等领域。经用数据分析、文献查阅等研究方法,讨论了全球化背景下我国乃至亚洲外语教学与研究的发展现状与趋势。

"The 13th Asia TEFL International Conference" was held in November 2015 in Nanjing, China. This year’s conference invited several distinguished English language education experts to give plenary speeches. The speeches involved topics such as language assessment, technology and teaching, and pragmatic instructions. Conference papers on topic such as English writing pedagogy and research, computer-assisted language learning, teacher education were discussed. Various topics were based on data analysis and literature review, probing into the present development and future trends of foreign language teaching and research in Asia.
