作为一种认知语用学理论,关联理论在翻译实践也中发挥着重要作用。在这一理论的指导下,通过对比《围城》和《生死疲劳》的英译本,从历史文化信息、景物信息、歇后语信息和隐喻信息四个方面的译介出发,推理国外汉学家如何使用显化隐化策略在英语与汉语之间建立最佳关联,帮助目标语读者减少认知努力,实现目标语与原语的最佳关联,获取最大的语境效果。

As a basic theory in cognitive pragmatics,relevance theory plays an important role in translation practice.Under the framework of relevance theory,the comparative study of Fortress Besieged and Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out,the English translation of Wei Cheng and Shengsi Pilao,explores how sinologists apply explicitation and implicitation strategies to translate information related to historic culture,scenery,allegorical saying and metaphor into targeted language,making optimal relevance between Chinese and English and achieving the best contextual effect with the least cognitive effort.
