Function of Role Models and Construction of Morality Standards

随着我国改革开放的不断深入,传统道德在全球化的激荡中屡受挑战,社会群众的道德是非观念受到多元文化的剧烈冲击,面临着前所未有的道德困惑。重塑社会道德高地成为亟待解决的大问题。在提倡社会主义核心价值观的大背景下,建设社会主义道德高地,需要大批道德榜样作为支撑。研究新时期的道德榜样问题,对提高人们的道德认知水平,抵制市场经济带来的负面影响,增强人们的道德情感,构建和谐社会,具有重要的现实意义。

With constant depth of reform and opening up in China, Chinese traditional morality is frequently challenged in the course of globalization. Moreover, the moral sense of right andwrong for the social mass is drastically impacted by multi- culture and faced with unprecedented moral puzzle. It is an urgent agenda to reshape the social moral standards. In the context of promotion of socialist core values, it is necessary for a large number of role models to support the construction of socialist moral standards. It is also significant and practical to research role models of morality in the new era, enhance the social masses’ moral cognitive level, resist the negative effects from market-oriented economy, srenthen people’s moral emotion and build the harmonious society.
